The main purpose of the Soft Protect Rod Skin is to provide a robust, padded, and modular solution for carrying a single made-up rod. Its design focuses on protecting your gear while also making it incredibly easy to access and transport. It can be used as a standalone skin for day sessions or stalking, or as an add-on to the larger 2 or 3 Rod skins in the range.

The “Soft Protect” name refers to its dense internal padding, which offers a high level of cushioning for your rod and reel. The skin is built for 13ft rods and is generously sized to accommodate large big-pit reels and 50mm butt rings, ensuring a perfect fit for modern carp fishing setups.

Densely Padded for Optimum Protection: The rod skin is lined with a thick, dense padding that provides superior protection for your rod and reel. This cushioning safeguards your expensive gear from knocks and bumps during transport.
Heavy-Duty Anti-Snag Zip: The skin features a heavy-duty, anti-snag double zip that runs along the spine. This design prevents line damage when you are zipping the skin open or closed, a common issue with many rod bags. The zip stops short of the top to allow you to easily locate your rod tip without the rod falling out.
Modular Design: A key feature of the Soft Protect range is its modularity. The 1 Rod Skin has compression webbings on its outer side and can be clipped to the base of the larger 2 or 3 Rod Skins (sold separately). This allows you to expand your carrying capacity from a 2 Rod Skin to a 3 Rod Skin, or a 3 Rod Skin to a 4 Rod Skin, offering incredible flexibility for different session lengths.
Wipe-Clean Waterproof Base: The base of the skin is made from a durable, wipe-clean waterproof PVC material. This is crucial for protecting the contents from moisture when the skin is placed on damp ground.
