Precision-machined in the UK from high-grade 300-series stainless steel, it features the iconic 1K carbon detailing and the virtually indestructible build quality that Solar is famous for.

The Universal Pod is unique because of its dual-extending main bar. This allows you to customize the length of your setup perfectly, whether you’re using short 10ft rods or standard 12ft models. Combined with Solar’s legendary ratchet leg system, this pod provides a “custom” fit for every swim you encounter.

Where to Use the P1 Universal Pod

The “Universal” name says it all; this pod is designed for maximum adaptability:

Medium to Large Lakes: The extendable frame and 9″ legs provide a wide footprint that remains incredibly stable on gravel, grass, or mud, even when using 12ft or 13ft rods.
Steep Bank Sides: If your swim is on a 45-degree slope, you can adjust the front legs forward and the back legs wide to create a perfectly level rod setup.
Wooden Jetties & Platforms: Because the pod is heavy and stable, it doesn’t need to be pegged down into the wood, making it ideal for modern commercial “pod” pegs.
High-Tip Fishing: By purchasing longer Solar banksticks (available at Gerry’s) and swapping them for the front legs, you can easily convert the Universal into a “high-pod” for fishing over marginal weed.
