The Sonik Turbospod 12ft is a high-performance, dedicated baiting tool designed for anglers who require a blend of raw power and manageable handling. While its 13ft counterpart is built for the extreme horizon, the 12ft model is the versatile choice for the majority of UK carp fishing scenarios. Built on a high-modulus low-resin carbon blank with a matt armoured-carbon helix construction, it provides the structural integrity needed to launch fully loaded spods and Spombs time and time after time.

Accuracy is paramount when baiting up, and the BulletPoint™ multi-directional tip lay-up ensures the rod settles instantly after the cast. This ultra-fast tip recovery eliminates the “wobble” that can drag a spod off-course, ensuring your bait lands exactly where your markers are set. Furnished with elite 50mm K-Style Seaguide TCG Zirconia guides and a rock-solid Twin-lock reel seat, the Turbospod is engineered for the heavy-duty demands of modern baiting campaigns.

Where to Use the Turbospod 12ft

Medium to Long Range Baiting: Perfect for hitting spots comfortably between 60 and 110 yards. The 12ft length makes it slightly easier to compress the blank than the 13ft version for most anglers.
Heavy Spomb Work: With a 5.75lb test curve, this rod effortlessly handles “Large” Spombs filled with heavy particle or boilie mixes without the blank “bottling out.”
Precision Feature Finding: The high-modulus carbon transmits every bump and vibration from a marker lead back to the handle, while the integrated depth markers allow for instant, accurate mapping of the lake bed.

“The 12ft 5.75lb Turbospod is the ‘sweet spot’ for most carp anglers. It offers enough power to hit significant distances but is much easier to use accurately when you’re tired or during a heavy baiting session. I highly recommend using the lengthened abbreviated handle to its full potential; keeping your hands far apart during the cast creates the leverage needed to let that BulletPoint™ tip do the work for you. Also, keep an eye on the Twin-lock collars on the reel seat—once you lock them down, your reel won’t budge even an inch, which is vital for maintaining accuracy!
