Create the Ultimate Shocker Rig. For wary carp, use the Shok Bead in conjunction with a Korda Running Rig Kit. Push the size-eight swivel firmly into the cavity of the Shok Bead. This provides enough resistance to “prick” the fish when it picks up the bait, but allows the lead to slide freely once the fish moves off, preventing it from using the weight of the lead to shake the hook.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these beads fit other swivel sizes?

The internal cavity is specifically molded for a Size 8 swivel, which is the industry standard for most carp rigs. While a smaller swivel might fit, it won’t be held securely, and a larger one will not fit inside the cavity.

How durable are they for heavy marker work?

Extremely. The rubber compound used is designed to withstand repeated impacts from heavy leads (4oz-5oz) without splitting or losing its shape, making them one of the most reliable buffer beads on the market.

Why is the shape so unique?
