It effectively bridges the gap between the ultra-lightweight speed of a traditional brolly and the rock-solid stability of a full-blown bivvy. It’s the “hybrid” shelter that has redefined what “quick-erect” actually means.

The secret to its success is the patented GRP composite block. This central hub is incredibly strong, lightweight, and fatigue-resistant, allowing you to fan the ribs out and lock the structure into place in seconds. Unlike traditional brollies with a central boss that can poke you in the head, the Tempest’s exoskeletal design provides a completely clear internal headspace, making it feel far roomier than its compact footprint suggests.

Versatile Protection & Modular Design

Constructed from 210D Polyester with a massive 10,000mm Hydrostatic Head, this brolly is built to shrug off torrential rain. The 16mm black powder-coated aluminum poles feature an anti-twist system, ensuring that everything lines up perfectly every time you set up.

One of the best things about the Brolly 100 is its modular nature. It comes as a high-performance open-fronted shelter, but it can be upgraded as your fishing evolves. You can add a full infill panel for winter, an insect panel for summer nights, or a Skull Cap to create a peak and further reduce condensation.

Is it big enough for a wide bedchair?

The “100” size is specifically designed for one angler and one standard-sized bedchair. While a “Wide” or “Kingsize” bed might fit, it will eat into your storage space for bags and tackle. For most standard beds, it offers plenty of room to tuck your gear underneath and behind.

Does it come with a groundsheet?

The standard Tempest Brolly 100 is an open-fronted shelter and does not include a groundsheet as standard. However, a dedicated heavy-duty groundsheet is available separately if you prefer a dry floor for longer sessions.

How does it handle high winds?

Remarkably well. Because of the exoskeletal frame and multiple ground contact points, it is much more stable than a traditional ‘umbrella’ style brolly. As long as it is pegged out correctly, it will stand firm in significant gusts.

Can I add a front later?

Yes! That’s the beauty of the Tempest system. You can start with the basic brolly and add the Full Infill Panel later if you decide you want to start doing more winter sessions or want more privacy.
