Where to Use the Aero X1A Distance 13ft 120g

This powerhouse is designed for extreme distances and demanding environments.

Extreme Distance Casting: Designed to hit marks beyond 100 meters. The extra-large Shimano Hardlite guides reduce line friction, allowing your shock leader knots and line to fly through the rings during high-power casts.
Large, Fast-Flowing Rivers: If you are fishing the lower Trent or the Severn for Bream and Barbel, this rod has the backbone to hold a 4oz feeder in the current and the length to keep your line clear of the near-bank debris.
Big Water Bream & Carp: Ideal for large natural venues where you need to launch “bullet” or “window” feeders to reach distant shoals. The 3oz and 5oz tips are perfectly balanced to show sensitive bites even when there is a significant bow in your line.

Gerry’s Pro Tip: Even though this is an entry-level rod, it performs best when treated like a specialist tool. Pair it with a 5000 or 5500 size reel to balance the 13ft length. Because it uses Hardlite guides, it is perfectly safe to use with braided mainlines, which we strongly recommend for bite detection when fishing at the extreme ranges this rod can achieve.
