The Garbolino Proxima Feeder & Method is a high-performance rod designed specifically for the modern commercial angler. At 3.00m (10ft), this rod is the ideal length for short to medium-range “Method” feeder and bomb fishing, where accuracy and a forgiving fish-playing action are paramount. The 2-section construction ensures a smooth, progressive curve that absorbs the lunges of powerful carp, significantly reducing hook-pulls at the net.

Built on a slimline blank using a blend of High Resistance (HR) and Intermediate Modulus (IM) Carbon, the Proxima offers a lightweight feel without sacrificing the “grunt” needed to launch loaded feeders up to 70g. The stylish spiral carbon finish and ergonomic design make it a standout choice for both pleasure and competitive match fishing.

Gerry’s Tip: The 10ft Proxima is a “bread and butter” commercial rod. Because it casts up to 70g, it can handle large method feeders with ease, but it really sings when used with 30g–45g setups. I recommend pairing this with a 3000 size reel and 6lb to 8lb mono. When you’re playing a big carp right at the net, don’t be afraid to let the rod do the work—the 2-section HR carbon is designed to bend right through to the handle
