Gerry’s Tip: For wire-stemmed floats, I find that a very small piece of 0.3mm silicone at the top of the stem (just under the body) and a slightly longer 0.5mm piece at the very base works best. The tighter fit at the top prevents the float from “wobbling” on the strike, while the slightly larger piece at the bottom makes it easier to thread your line through during initial setup
