Korum Neoteric LC 6500 Deep Spool

The Korum Neoteric LC 6500 Deep Spool is designed to maximize the versatility and line capacity of your Neoteric LC 6500 reel. Engineered specifically for big-fish tactics, heavy lines, and extreme distance work, this high-capacity spool is ideal for holding heavy monofilament or fluorocarbon mainlines without compromising on casting efficiency.

Constructed from durable anodised aluminium, it features Korum’s signature LC (Long Cast) taper spool lip. This angled profile drastically reduces friction as line leaves the spool, helping you punch heavy leads, Method feeders, or distance floats out into open water. Outfitted with an oversized, line-friendly metal line clip, it holds your line securely at a fixed distance without pinching or causing weakness during repeated heavy casts.

Pro Tip

Use this deep spool when fishing heavy commercial or river venues where abrasion resistance is critical. Load it with heavy 0.35mm–0.40mm monofilament for targeting big carp, barbel, or catfish in snaggy areas. The deep capacity ensures you have plenty of heavy-duty line in reserve during long runs, while the tapered spool lip maintains excellent casting distance despite the thicker line diameter.

Ideal Applications & Use Cases

Big-Fish & Specimen Tactics: Ideal for housing heavy monofilament or fluorocarbon mainlines required for big carp, barbel, and river fishing.
Heavy Distance Work: Designed to carry high line capacities needed when casting heavy Method feeders or big leads on large lakes, reservoirs, or fast-flowing rivers.
Tactical Bankside Swaps: Keep pre-loaded with heavy mono to switch out instantly from a shallow braid spool when targeting rough, snaggy water or heavy snags.

Frequently Asked Questions
