Shakespeare Sigma Supra 12ft Barbel 1.5lb

Lightweight enough to perfectly suit a roving angler, and offer exceptional responsiveness when you’re feeling the water for bites, yet durable enough to handle the rigours of the gravelly swims where barbel are most often found, the Shakespeare Sigma Supra Barbel rod is ideal for the specimen angler, and perfectly designed to help you catch tench, carp, and chub, as well as barbel, making this a rod that can offer you a truly versatile fishing experience. The slim, strong, 24T carbon blank offers exceptional feel and action, whilst presenting an unthreatening profile over the water, giving you the flexibility of testing the water without scaring off your quarry. Titanium oxide insert guides, and a screw down EVA reel seat give this rod the rugged durability needed when fishing over gravel, or in fast-flowing rivers, without compromising on a style that’s set with the high-quality handle, crafted from a blend of cork and EVA, to give a traditional, retro look that has completely up to date resistance to the rigours of the angling lifestyle.Supplied with two tips, and protected by its own cloth carry bag, the Supra Barbel is the perfect blend of classic style with progressive, contemporary action, giving you a rod that looks good, and performs better. With a reputation for providing quality tackle to anglers of all levels of experience, and particularly valued for the quality introductory sea fishing tackle they produce, Shakespeare is an excellent brand for the novice angler looking to build a basic kit without breaking the bank, but still enjoy the reliability of high-performance tackle and equipment.A small, carp-like fresh water fish, barbel typically prefer slower-moving waters with gravel beds, so you’re looking for a rod and line with high abrasion resistance, rather than one specifically designed for the faster river waters that will bring you other species, which makes this slim, solid, ultra-responsive rod ideal for the unique demands of barbel fishing.Available with a 2lb or 2.5lb test curve, this 12ft rod gives you the flexibility to work every part of the river, and make the most of your time on the bank.Slim and strong 24 ton carbon blankTitanium oxide insert guidesScrew down EVA reel seatHigh quality cork/EVA handleModern progressive actionsSupplied with two tipsSupplied in a cloth rod bag
