Pro Tip: For the perfect “prep,” try the “Minute Rule.” Soak your micro pellets in the strainer for exactly one minute for every millimeter of pellet size (e.g., 2 minutes for 2mm pellets). Once the time is up, simply lift the strainer out, shake off the excess water, and let them stand. To prevent your luncheon meat from floating away in a surface tow, soak it in warm water using the strainer; this draws out the buoyant fats and oils, making the meat “heavy” so it stays exactly where you feed it.
