The 6m Telefloat is a serious piece of kit for the money. If you’ve never used a rod this long, the biggest advantage is the “pickup.” Because of the length, when you strike, you move a massive amount of line instantly, which is perfect for hooking fish at long range or in deep water. Pro Tip: Balance is key at 6m. I recommend pairing this with a slightly larger 3000 or 4000-sized reel. The extra weight at the handle end will actually make the rod feel “tip-light” and much more comfortable to hold for a 5-hour match
