The Daiwa 26 Crossfire LT 5000-C is built on the brand’s pioneering ‘Light & Tough’ (LT) concept, a design philosophy that drastically reduces the reel’s overall weight—by up to 20% compared to older Crossfire models—without sacrificing strength. The DS4 Carbon Light Body and Rotor provide a solid, durable platform while ensuring the reel is comfortable for long fishing sessions. The core strength comes from the Tough Digigear system; these precision-milled gears ensure smooth, high-powered winding, making light work of heavy retrieves or battling tough fish. The reel is equipped with the Advanced Tournament Drag (ATD) system, which guarantees a consistent and powerful drag output, engaging smoothly to prevent break-offs under sudden pressure. Line management is aided by the Longcast ABS Aluminium Spool and Twistbuster 2 roller, optimising casting distance and minimizing line-related issues.
