The J-Braid Grand X8 is a premium, high-strength 8-carrier braided line from Daiwa, manufactured in Japan using advanced materials and weaving technology. The Multicolour version is specifically designed to help anglers monitor line depth and distance.

Product Details and Uses

The Multicolour version of the J-Braid Grand X8 retains all the performance enhancements of the line, including the use of IZANAS® PE fiber for superior strength and the unique stretching process for a tighter, more abrasion-resistant braid.

Uses:

Depth/Distance Indicator: The primary advantage of the Multicolour braid is its alternating colour pattern. The line changes colour every 10 meters, with a distinct marker (typically white/black lines) at shorter intervals (e.g., 5-meter marks and 1-meter marks).
Ideal for Vertical and Deep Fishing: It is highly recommended for techniques like deep dropping, jigging, trolling, and fishing with bait in deep water, where knowing the exact depth your lure or bait is at is crucial for presenting it to fish holding at specific thermoclines or structures.
Trolling Control: Helps accurately position lures relative to the boat.
Reel Meter Calibration: The colour changes are often used to program digital line counters (Dendoh reels) for maximum readout accuracy.
Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater applications, but excels in scenarios demanding precise line management and depth knowledge.
