Savage Gear 3D Roach RTF Swim 14cm 40g

Detailed Specifications

Key Applications & Where To Use

• Targeting Specimen Pike: The 14cm profile perfectly replicates a key-sized roach, making it a year-round staple for targeting big pike on gravel pits, estate lakes, and reservoirs.
• Deep-Water & Bottom Grinding: The fast sink rate and persistent action on the fall allow you to count the lure down into deep gullies and retrieve it along deep bottom contours where large predators lie in ambush.
• Shallow Water & Weed Margin Tactics: Point your rod tip upwards on the retrieve to work the lure through shallow bays, over submerged weed beds, and along reed fringes.
• Murky & Low-Light Venues: The high-contrast Photo Chrome finish, combined with the heavy body roll and clicking glass rattle, helps predators locate and track the lure in stained water or low-light conditions.

Gerry’s Fishing Pro Tip

Pro Tip: Don’t just wind this lure straight in—make full use of its fast sink rate and swimming action on the drop. On deep reservoirs or river pools, cast out, let the lure sink to the seabed or lakebed on a semi-tight line, and give it three to five fast turns of the handle followed by a pause. The paddle tail will continue to kick and roll as it flutters back down to the bottom, which is precisely when a waiting pike or specimen zander will hit it.
