Description

The Daiwa 20 Saltiga LD 2 Speed Lever Drag Reels are a series of high-performance conventional reels designed for saltwater boat fishing, offering a smooth, powerful, and dependable lever-drag system. The two-speed function allows anglers to quickly switch between a high-speed retrieve for line pick-up and a powerful low gear for cranking in large, hard-fighting fish.

Reel Type: Super Smooth 2 Speed Lever Drag Reel.
Frame/Body: One-Piece Machined Aluminium Frame and Side Plate for precise gear and bearing alignment, less flex, and maximum power.
Gearing: Oversized, super-hard, polished, and meshed Stainless Steel main and pinion gears (some models also feature HYPER Digigear).
Drag System: ATD (Advanced Tournament Drag) – Provides smooth and consistent maximum pressure throughout the fight, reducing initial drag start-up inertia.
Spool: Machined Aluminium Spool, which is designed not to bend or expand under high drag pressure.
Bearings: 6 CRBB (Corrosion Resistant Ball Bearings) for a longer reel life and consistent performance.
Handle:
- Smaller models (20, 35, 40) feature a soft-touch rubber handle for fast, comfortable retrieves.
- Larger models (50, 55, 60) feature a long T-style offset aluminium power handle for improved leverage and comfort.
Other Features:
- Manual 2-Speed gear change with an easy-shift mechanism (one-touch shift).
- Line out alarm (clicker).
- Machined aluminium rod clamp.
- Centrifugal braking (on some international models).
