Because this rod has a 2-8g rating, using light tackle allows the blank to “load” properly during the cast, significantly increasing your distance with tiny lures. The cork handle will develop a beautiful patina over time—to keep it looking new, simply wipe it with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap after a muddy session!
