Grundens Boundary Zip Stockingfoot Wader

Crafted to establish a new benchmark in elite wading performance, the Grundens Boundary Zip Stockingfoot Wader – Stone/Otter utilizes top-tier GORE-TEX Pro Wader Laminate to deliver exceptional durability, breathability, and freedom of movement. Built around a body-mapped shell, it features a ultra-tough 4-layer GORE-TEX Pro laminate throughout the lower legs to resist punctures and abrasion from rough terrain, while the 3-layer upper maximises vapor transfer to prevent sweat buildup during long treks. At its center, a fully submersible YKK® Aquaseal zipper provides complete waterproof security alongside effortless entry and ventilation control.

Grundéns redesigned wader ergonomics from the ground up, relocating high-wear seams away from friction zones to significantly enhance overall lifespan. The suspension system draws directly from climbing harness technology, featuring a fused contour fit that moves fluidly with your torso during casting and rowing. For extreme cold-water sessions, the anatomically shaped, dual-density neoprene stockingfeet utilize twin Titanium-Alpha coating layers to reflect up to 40% more heat back to your body.

Pro Tip

Keep the YKK® Aquaseal zipper functioning flawlessly by inspecting it before each outing to ensure the zip teeth are clean of sand, fine silt, and mud. Periodically applying a specialized silicone zipper lubricant along the track ensures a smooth glide, protects the airtight seal, and prevents unnecessary strain on the teeth.

Where & How to Use

Deep River & Heavy Current Wading: Essential for serious river anglers who need complete waterproof protection, low bulk, and quick-relief convenience during long days on the water.
Active Bank Trekking & Boat/Raft Trips: Perfect for long hikes into remote spots or active rowing on guide rafts where the low-profile harness eliminates shoulder fatigue and digging.
Winter & Cold-Water Sessions: Designed for sub-zero tailwater, salmon, and winter trout fishing where the heat-reflective Titanium-Alpha neoprene keeps your feet warm in icy flows.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of body-mapped GORE-TEX Pro fabric?

By using heavy-duty 4-layer GORE-TEX Pro on the lower legs, the waders resist punctures, thorns, and gravel abrasion where you need it most. Using a lighter 3-layer GORE-TEX Pro on the upper body reduces overall weight and maximizes breathability around your core.

Is the center front zipper truly waterproof?

Yes. The YKK® Aquaseal zipper is a fully waterproof and submersible zipper. When completely zipped down into the locking dock, it provides a totally dry seal that prevents water from entering even if submerged.

How do the double Titanium-Alpha neoprene stockingfeet work?

Titanium-Alpha is a high-tech metallic coating bonded to the neoprene fabric. It acts as an insulation barrier that reflects radiant body heat back toward your feet, boosting heat retention by up to 40% compared to standard neoprene booties.

Why are there no metal boot hooks on the gravel guards?

The double-weave stretch material is engineered to form a tight, snug seal around the cuff of your wading boots on its own. Omitting the metal lace hook eliminates a potential snag point for fly lines and bankside brush without sacrificing grip.
