Product Details and Uses

The HTO Tempest’s internal mechanics are built for enduring performance.⁵ It features a 7+1 corrosion-resistant stainless-steel bearing system that ensures a consistently smooth retrieve, even in harsh saltwater environments.⁶ The main shaft, crafted from aluminium, provides the ideal balance between low weight and maximum strength.⁷

A key feature for dedicated lure fishing is the carbon-based drag system.⁸ This system provides a smooth, powerful, and sensitive performance with excellent start-up inertia—meaning your line feeds off the spool with minimal friction when a fish runs, protecting lighter leaders.⁹ HTO has also intentionally removed the anti-reverse switch, eliminating a common point of saltwater ingress and enhancing the reel’s long-term durability.¹⁰ Finished with a CNC machined screw-in aluminium handle and a comfortable EVA knob, the Tempest Reel delivers reliability where it matters most.
