However, if you are regularly fishing massive Atlantic surf swells, heavy floating weed, or utilizing ultra-long 15ft continental style rods, you might want to look at the 7ft Supermatch version to get that extra line height. For general beach, pier, and rock fishing, the 6ft model is absolutely spot on.

Will the legs slip on smooth concrete surfaces?

On rough concrete or stone piers, the tripod sits very stable. If you are fishing on very smooth or painted promenades, we advise adding a Leg Lock Kit or hanging a weighted beach bucket from the central apex hook to weight it down and prevent any movement.
