The Inova 6mm Pop Up Floating Beads are a specialized item of terminal tackle used primarily in sea fishing, especially surfcasting and beach fishing.¹ They are designed to improve bait presentation and attraction.

Usage

These beads are threaded onto the snood (hook length) just above the hook, and secured in place with a crimp, knot, or small stop knot/bead.

The number of beads used depends on the size and weight of the bait, and how high the angler wants to “pop up” the bait. Using:

One or two beads will often simply lighten the bait, allowing it to move enticingly in the tide.
Multiple beads may be used to achieve a fully suspended, “pop-up” bait presentation to target fish feeding slightly higher in the water column.
