Where to Use the Tidal XT 423 (300g)

Rough Ground & Heavy Surf: The shorter 14ft length gives you incredible leverage to pump large fish away from snags, while the 300g rating handles the heaviest leads required to hold bottom.
Deep-Water Piers: Its slightly more compact length makes it easier to handle on crowded piers or breakwaters while still providing enough height to clear high railings.

“The 423 is a ‘stiffer’ beast than its 15ft brother, making it exceptionally fast. It’s a dream for ‘overhead thump’ and ‘off-the-ground’ casting styles. Because it’s so responsive, try using a slightly shorter lead drop to really compress the blank quickly—you’ll feel the power kick in instantly. Also, the Glow in the Dark tip is excellent; just remember to give it a 5-second ‘blast’ with your UV torch or headlamp every few casts for maximum visibility during night sessions
