The Shimano Spheros SW A is a heavy-duty saltwater spinning reel designed to provide a balance of technology, durability, and value, making it suitable for a wide range of saltwater applications from light inshore to demanding offshore fishing like tuna popping. This reel is built to withstand harsh saltwater conditions, incorporating many of Shimano’s flagship technologies from its higher-end SW models. The 14000 XG model features an Xtra Gear ratio, ideal for high-speed retrieves required for topwater lure fishing and jigging.

HAGANE Body: A metal reel body with high rigidity, which virtually eliminates body flexing under load, transforming the angler’s actions directly into cranking power.
HAGANE Gear: Precision cold-forged gear that provides amazing strength and long-lasting smoothness and durability.
X-Ship: Provides improved gear durability by supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings, maintaining precise alignment for maximum winding power.
Infinity Drive: A new main shaft supporting structure that improves winding torque (up to 26% more than the previous model) and provides incredibly smooth and light rotation.
