Product Details and Uses

The Tenryu Spike SKX 782 XX rod has been developed to meet the needs of experts in big tuna lure fishing. Designed to target big fish, it is perfectly suited to the use of PE 10 or 12 braid. Its regular fast action allows you to cast lures weighing from 100 to 230 grams from a safe distance and offers an ideal compromise between strength and softness when fighting. With a high power reserve thanks to the inclusion of nano-carbon (CNT technology) in the bottom section, this rod allows anglers to show their authority during the critical phases of a fight.

The Spike SKX 782 XX is fully equipped with Fuji Sic Ocean Guide rings (K series) in sizes 16 on the tip to 40 for the leader ring. The first 5 rings are triple-ligated to withstand the stresses of heavy fighting. The long butt and handle are complemented by a foregrip section on the blank start which gives the angler a secure, high grip on the rod. On big fish, this very high grip makes it easier to adjust the rod/line angle at certain times during the fight and keep control of the fight.
The butt knob is removable and can be fitted with a GC22 Gimbal for use with a shoulder harness.
The Spike SKX 782 S XX is rated for a maximum drag of 20 kg at an angle of 60Â¬âˆž.
