• Creates a Large Porch Area: The primary function of this social cap is to add a substantial 1.2m porch to the front of the bivvy. This covered area is incredibly versatile, providing a sheltered space for a cooking setup, storing excess gear, or offering a dry and comfortable spot for two people to sit and socialise.
• Enhanced Aquatexx Fabric: The cap is made from Trakker’s high-performance Enhanced Aquatexx fabric. This material features a multi-layered breathable system, offering a superior 25,000mm hydrostatic head rating. This high rating ensures outstanding waterproof protection against even the heaviest rainfall.
• Insulation and Condensation Reduction: By covering the top of the main bivvy, the social cap adds a crucial layer of insulation. This helps to regulate the internal temperature, keeping the bivvy cooler in summer and warmer in cooler conditions. More importantly, it significantly reduces the build-up of condensation, which is a common issue with single-skin shelters.
• Optimised Airflow: The social cap is designed with twin side openings that can be rolled back. This feature promotes excellent airflow and cross-ventilation, which is essential for reducing condensation and keeping the interior fresh and comfortable.
