Key Uses

The versatility of these stops is their main selling point:

Adjustable Rig Components: They are excellent for trapping swivels, beads, or other components on the main rig line. By bunching several stops together around a component, you can create a very secure grip that can still be moved up or down the line to adjust the position of snoods (hook lengths), making adjustable rigs (like an adjustable paternoster) without needing to use permanent crimps.
Bait Stops: A single stop can be used on a hook shank (above the hook’s eye) to hold soft baits, such as worms, in position and prevent them from sliding down the hook.
Trapping Beads/Sequins: They are used to trap standard or luminous beads and sequins in place, often just above the hook or around a swivel for added attraction.
Crimp Replacement: When bunched together, they provide a strong hold, serving as a non-permanent and less-damaging alternative to metal crimps.
Float Stops: While not their primary sea fishing role, they can be used as float stops in other disciplines to set the depth of a sliding float.

Features and Availability

Material: Made from a soft but durable rubber compound that provides excellent grip on the line without causing damage.
Color: They are available in a Clear version (as requested) and also a Luminous (Lumi) version, which provides extra glow-in-the-dark attraction for night fishing.
Packaging: They are sold in packs of around 48 pieces and come pre-mounted on a wire or plastic stem for easy threading onto the fishing line.
