The Tronixpro T Swivel – Size 5 – 60lb (27kg) is a specialized piece of terminal tackle designed to improve presentation and reduce line twist and tangles on fishing rigs, particularly those used in sea fishing.

It is an alternative to a traditional three-way swivel and functions more like a mini-boom system.

Design: Unique Plastic Body—The swivel features a metal rolling swivel encased in a small, rigid plastic body.
Action: Complete 360-Degree Movement—Unlike a fixed three-way swivel, the metal eye where the hook snood attaches has complete rotational freedom around the main rig line. This effectively eliminates line twist.
Anti-Tangle Function: Mini-Boom Effect—The plastic body acts as a mini-boom, pushing the snood (hook length) away from the main rig line. This “stand-off” action significantly reduces the risk of the snood tangling around the rig body, especially during the cast or in strong currents.

Ideal Use

Flapper Rigs: This is its most common and intended use. On flapper rigs, the T-swivel is fixed onto the rig body (often secured by crimps or stop knots) to create a neat, anti-tangle attachment point for the hook snood.
General Rig Building: Can be used on any sea fishing rig where you need an attachment point that resists tangles and allows the hook snood to move freely or stand away from the mainline.
No Knot Option: The design allows it to be crimped in place onto the rig body line, eliminating the need for bulky knots on the mainline. This creates a very tidy and secure rig.
