The ‘Vass-Tex 550 series’ is the culmination of extensive market feedback, resulting in what is considered one of the best industrial heavy-weight waterproof materials available today. This Bib & Brace is engineered to provide the highest level of protection without compromising the wearer’s comfort.²

Product Details and Uses

This bib and brace is built for Extreme Waterproof and Wind Protection in the harshest environments, often utilized in commercial fishing settings.³

Material Construction: The core material is the Vass-Tex 550 series, which uses a Special Flexible & Hardwearing PVC outer.⁴ For comfort and strength, the reverse side of the material features a Cotton blended reverse.⁵
Performance: Due to its hard-wearing yet flexible properties, the Vass-Tex 550 series provides Extreme Aqua Protection.⁶ The material is not breathable (like the Vass-Tex 350) but is designed to be the ultimate barrier against water ingress.
Commercial Design Note: It is important to know that sizes in this Vass-Tex 550 range are much wider than Vass’s other ranges.⁷ They are intentionally designed this way to allow fishermen to wear multiple insulating layers underneath for extreme cold conditions.
