“The 15ft 250g model is the perfect entry into ‘Continental style’ fishing. Because the rod is so long, you don’t need a massive, aggressive cast to get the distance. Use a smooth, high-energy overhead cast with a longer lead drop (around 6-7ft). Pair this rod with a 7000 or 8000 sized long-cast fixed spool reel and thin braid (0.16mm-0.18mm) with a tapered shock leader.
