At Gerry’s Fishing, we recommend the Okuma Azores XP ZXP-16000P as the ultimate heavy-duty power tool. This is the largest, most powerful reel in the Azores family, combining the massive line capacity of the 16000 series with a specialized 3.8:1 “Low Speed” (LS) gear ratio.

Think of this reel as the “heavy-recovery vehicle” of the fishing world. Built with a rigid diecast aluminium body (ALC) and a massive 20kg Dual Force Drag (DFD), it is designed to winch up massive fish that would simply stall a high-speed reel.
