“The 20lb line on this reel is very robust, but because it is a thicker diameter, it’s vital to use a Shock Leader if you are performing powerful ‘pendulum’ or ‘off-the-ground’ casts with heavy leads. I recommend an Axia 60lb–80lb Shock Leader to ensure total safety. This allows the 20lb mainline to handle the fishing while the leader takes the massive force of the cast!”
