Daiwa BG 5000 Spinning reel

This comprehensive range of BG reels sweeps across the size mix, offering the same combination of design features and technology. From 2500 for light main stream spinning right up to an 8000 for deep water and big lures. The 5000 sizes have been more popular with boat anglers when wreck fishing targeting larger species from big cod, ling to conger. Built around an aluminium body the Digigear II drive is held solidly in place under loading, maintaining a smooth power transfer and winding feel. This is enhanced further by the presence of 6BB and the graphite Air Rotor. Line release during the fight is also smooth thanks to the ATD with carbon washers.
