Daiwa Longbow X45 M Carp Rods

Below the surface this Longbow range harnesses great power and delivers remarkable levels of control. Designed and built in Daiwa UK, we applied the very latest design and material technology. Torque busting X45 tech, High Volume Fibre and our long since proven Magnum Taper are masterfully combined to deliver superior distance reach, unerring accuracy and a highly versatile fish playing performance. Thanks to the MT profile, we have also been able to push the design limits of the test curve, bringing a ground breaking 4.0lb model. Such a test curve would have been more familiar on a marker or spod rod, however the outstanding casting power is remarkably well balanced with a responsive and forgiving tip action that ensures even tentative hook holds are not penalised. We have also applied the ‘near skeletal’ TDG guides making the rod light weight and super responsive. These guides feature a special ADAMAN™ coating. A Seaguide reel seat and Japanese shrink grip compose a simple but understated handle assembly. X45 Bias Carbon Technology: Layering the carbon sheet at opposing 45° angles, combined with 0° and 90° layers, truly optimises the torque resistance and power delivery. This enhances both distance and accuracy. Magnum Taper blank profile: Designed by our engineers in the UK and Japan this now iconic mandrel profile gives you the perfect balance of a responsive tip action rod for playing fish and the perfect middle and lower part of the rod for casting. HVF (High Volume Fibre): This material has been developed to reduce the weight and increase the strength and stiffness of the blank. With a reduction in the resin content and more carbon the performance is increased V-Joint Alpha Technology: eliminates any potential flat spots that occur at the joint section of the rod. It gives you a perfect playing action and aids in increasing distance when casting. Seaguide TDG guides: Lighter in weight than the traditional ceramic guides with enhanced performance. The guides have a larger internal diameter size for size with ceramic guides which means line can travel faster through them when casting. The guides also offer greater sensitivity and feel plus they have a special ADAMAN™ coating which also increases the performance. Japanese Shrink: We only use the best hard waring shrink on all the UK made rods. This in our opinion gives the best finish and feel for a handle on a carp rod
