Description

The Nash Retainer Sling is a specialized piece of carp care equipment designed for the safe temporary retention and accurate weighing of fish. The modern version of the classic Nash sling emphasizes fish safety and practicality through an all-mesh construction.

It is available in two sizes: Standard and Monster.

Key Features

• All-Mesh Construction: The main feature of the current design. The full mesh material dramatically improves water exchange to maximize carp comfort during retention and allows for faster draining and drying when removed from the water, reducing transport weight and size.
• Full-Length Buoyancy Aids: Integrated foam bars running the full length of the sling keep the carp visible and upright at all times on the surface of the water, which is crucial for fish welfare.
• Safety Retention System: Includes a rotproof retention cord attached to a threaded bankstick attachment. This cord is stored in a dedicated Velcro pocket and allows the sling to be securely pegged to the bank to prevent the fish from swimming away.
• Weighing Accuracy: Equipped with metal eyelets on the webbing carry straps. These centralized eyelets ensure the sling hangs correctly on the scales for the most accurate weighing results. The lightweight nature of the sling also simplifies the process of “zeroing” the scales.
• Visibility: Features reflective marker tabs on the buoyancy aids for easy location of the sling at night using a torch or headlamp.
• Secure Closure: Utilizes a locking, oversized zip to prevent the carp from escaping while retained.
