Okuma Azores XP ZXP-6000P LS: The Ultimate Saltwater Winch

While speed is often king in lure fishing, there are times when you need pure, unadulterated cranking power. At Gerry’s Fishing, we recommend the Okuma Azores XP ZXP-6000P (Low Speed) for the angler who prioritizes torque over tempo. This “P” (Power) version features a lower gear ratio, essentially giving you a “low gear” 4×4 for the ocean.

Built with the same bomb-proof AlumiLite Construction (ALC) as its high-speed siblings, the 6000P is designed to handle the grinding pressure of deep-water fishing and large, hard-fighting species. The Dual Force Drag (DFD) provides a massive 13kg of pressure, but it’s the 4.8:1 gear ratio that really shines here, allowing you to turn the handle and gain line when a heavy fish is doggedly holding bottom.
