The 20 Game Type J Spinning Rods are engineered for modern offshore jigging techniques, including both regular- and speed-jigging methods. This series integrates two of Shimano’s most advanced blank technologies: Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X.

Spiral X Core: Shimano’s most advanced blank construction, it uses a three-layer structure—a vertical fiber blank, an inner layer, and an outer layer of carbon tape diagonally wound in opposing directions. This significantly increases torsional rigidity (up to 10% more) and compressional rigidity (up to 15% more) compared to traditional construction. The result is a lighter, stronger blank that eliminates blank twist, ensuring instant power transmission for precise jig control and fighting large fish.
Hi-Power X: The outermost layer of the blank is diagonally wrapped with carbon tape in an “X” shape. This allows Shimano to fine-tune the rod’s action, enhancing overall strength and providing sharp, crisp rod control.

The rods feature a Grip Joint (1+1 piece) construction, where the detachable handle section is engineered to maximize performance, creating a bend profile that closely mimics a one-piece rod while offering convenience for transport.

Guides: High-quality Fuji Stainless Steel K-Type frames with SiC (Silicon Carbide) rings, known for excellent heat dissipation and line durability.
Reel Seat: Lighter-powered spinning models (typically Power 1-5) feature a custom-designed, lightweight CI4+ Reel Seat for increased sensitivity and all-day jigging comfort. Heavier-powered models (Power 6-8) utilize more durable Fuji DPS20 Reel Seats for increased strength when battling big game.
Grip: Ergonomic EVA split butt configuration to reduce weight and ensure a comfortable, secure grip.
