Shimano Lesath Sea Trout Spinning 9’6″ 7-35g 2pc

Shimano Lesath Sea Trout 9’6″ 7-35g | The Pinnacle of Performance

At Gerry’s Fishing, we recognize the Shimano Lesath Sea Trout as the absolute benchmark for high-end coastal spinning. This 9’6″ model is engineered for the dedicated angler who refuses to compromise on distance, sensitivity, or fish-playing control. Designed specifically for the arduous demands of saltwater sea trout fishing, it combines a slim, feather-light profile with “all-conquering” power.

With a casting weight of 7-35g, this 2-piece masterpiece is the most versatile in the range, capable of launching small spoons or heavy coastal metals into the horizon with laser-like accuracy.

Revolutionary Carbon Technologies

• Spiral X Core & Hi-Power X: The blank is constructed using Shimano’s most advanced carbon wrap technologies. Spiral X Core provides increased torsional rigidity and prevents blank twist, while Hi-Power X reinforces the outer layer, ensuring that every ounce of energy from your cast is transferred directly into the lure.

• Nanopitch Technology: During the baking process, Shimano applies a fine-pitch tape to the blank. This ensures the carbon is compressed with extreme precision, resulting in a stronger, lighter, and more responsive rod.

• Carbon Monocoque Handle: A standout feature of the Lesath range. This hollow, carbon-moulded grip eliminates the need for heavy EVA or cork, significantly reducing weight and acting as a megaphone for vibrations, allowing you to feel every subtle pluck from a following fish.

• Fuji Titanium SiC K-Type Guides: These ultra-lightweight, corrosion-resistant guides are the best in the business. The K-Type frame prevents wind knots, while the SiC inserts provide the lowest friction possible for maximum casting distance with thin braids.

• CI4+ Reel Seat: Custom-designed to blend seamlessly into the handle, this reel seat provides a rock-solid connection and enhances the rod’s overall balance, especially when paired with a Stella or TwinPower reel.

Use Example: Long-Range Coastal Hunting

Imagine you are standing on a windswept Baltic or UK coastline. The sea trout are surfacing at the very edge of your casting range, and the water is crystalline and shallow. You need to reach those fish with a 20g sandeel imitation without spooking them.

The Lesath Sea Trout 9’6″ excels here. The moderately fast action loads deeply but recovers with incredible speed, punching your lure through the wind. Because of the Carbon Monocoque handle, you can feel the lure’s vibration change as it picks up a tiny piece of weed. When a silver-tourist finally hits at long range, the rod’s progressive curve absorbs the violent headshakes and jumps, ensuring the hooks don’t pull even in the shallowest margins.
