It is a heavier-gauge version of a typical circle hook, combining the benefits of the modern circle design with extra strength.

Self-Setting Action	The defining feature of a circle hook. As the fish takes the bait and attempts to swim away, the unique shape ensures the point of the hook rotates and sets itself automatically in the corner of the fish’s jaw or lip. No striking is required.
