The Shakespeare SALT XT Long Surf is designed with a very powerful but slim blank to deliver maximum casting distance with both mono or braided lines. By using a high grade carbon, the blank is very slim but has still plenty of power to launch your rig a long way. The tip offer outstanding bite detection so you will see even the smallest takes. The mid and butt section hold an incredible amount of power so you can reach maximum casting distance with the easier overhead or off-the-ground casts and also fight and control a big fish without any issues. As well, due to the special SW proof K-type guides, the line cannot get entangled around the guides any more, preventing knots or breakages.
